Health Education is an important part of our service to the community. At Delta Health Care we particularly focus on teen health.  Our goal is to promote the advantages of good health for young people and offer education, prevention and services that lead to healthy lives.

We work with both young men and women to encourage them to prevent unintended pregnancies, understand the importance of reproductive health, and to make healthy choices. We also work with parents to build strong relationships with their children and better prepare them as their children enter adolescence.

Youth development is a key component of our work. DHC strives to help teens develop leadership skills, continue their academic careers, and set goals for their future.  We utilize teen and adult peer educators in our services.  DHC’s programs are culturally sensitive to the diverse populations of San Joaquin County.
